Περίληψη:	This article discusses seven overstruck Macedonian bronzes in the Richard B. Witschonke collection and their contribution to the interpretation of overstriking in late Hellenistic Macedonia. It has been well known that the ‘Silenus | D ?????o?O?’ issue was largely overstruck on earlier coins, mostly those of the quaestors, and the RBW collection confirms this fact and adds new, unpublished, undertypes. More importantly, the new material offers evidence that the issues of the quaestors L. Fulcinnius and G. Publilius were, in some rare cases, also struck on earlier, probably Macedonian, issues. After assessing that the practice of overstriking? occurred systematically after the Roman conquest, the author suggests that the phenomenon could have a fiscal interpretation related to the policy of the Roman authorities.
