Περίληψη:	During the brief second Venetian rule in the Peloponnese, intensive efforts were made to reorganize land ownership for military and taxation purposes. The peninsula’s population was surveyed, and private properties were distinguished from public ones. Due to Venice’s military operations against the Ottomans, refugees from other regions of Greece flooded into the Peloponnese, setting there with the Venetian authorities’ assistance. Both old and new residents, along with the Orthodox Church, had to prove the origin of their property in writing. Buildings and land were concurrently granted to residents and institutions, either permanently or through various leasing methods from the government. Venetian officials recorded and sent these surveys and grants back to Venice, listing the baptismal names and surnames of Peloponnesian residents and settlers, potentially still residing there today. The documents also reveal place names of the peninsula, including cities, villages, settlements, and even small family-owned installations, as well as sacred spaces, churches, monasteries, mosques, and sites of archaeological interest, showcasing their historical continuity.
