Περιγραφή:	The paper offers a detailed overview of the economic politics of the kings of Cyprus during the classical period, as they are revealed though the combined study of the numismatic, literary, epigraphic and archaeological evidence. Especially the use of the gold coinage as a principal primary source of information, reveals previously unknown aspects of the economic politics and the history of the cypriot kindoms during the first half of the fourth century, during the period of the conquest of the island by Alexander the Great and finally during the period of the fights of his Successors for the control of Cyprus ; those fights will conclude at the end of the fourth century BC to the abolition of the kingdoms and kingship and will introduce a new era for the history of Cyprus.
