Περιγραφή:	The paper presents the results of pXRF analysis of 48 gold coins, issued by the kings of Cyprus during the Classical period. The coins are preserved in Cyprus, in the collections of the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus (27 coins) and the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation (21 coins). The objective of this project is to trace the amount of gold, as well as, that of other elements in the alloy used by the kings of Cyprus to issue gold coinage and to reconsider the economic policies of the Cypriot kings during the fourth century bc.
