Περιγραφή:	Whereas the coins produced during the fifth century BC by the kings of Cyprus were made exclusively of silver and followed the same weight standard, the landscape of the weight standards employed during the fourth century BC is still unclear and requires further investigation. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the use of different weight standards for the coin production of the kings of Cyprus during the classical period. Particular attention will be given to the fourth century BC, when important changes took place on the island, to the issuing of gold coinage and to the exchange ration between gold and silver.
